The SCU will be the City of Berkeley’s new 24/7 mental health and substance use crisis response team, which will be implemented in partnership with Bonita House. The SCU is part of Berkeley’s reimagining of public safety which includes non-police responses for mental health crises.
This meeting will be hosted by the Department of Health, Housing, and Community Services and is a great opportunity to learn more about the Specialized Care Unit (SCU) and ask questions about the upcoming program.
