Help us find night shuttle drivers! π
One of the easiest ways to keep Cal students safe is by providing them with reliable night transportation. UC Berkeley used to operate two night safety shuttles and a door-to-door shuttle. Then the pandemic hit. Staffing levels plummeted, and have never quite recovered.
Thatβs why only a single night shuttle runs today (April 2023) β the Southside Loop.
Thatβs the bad news.
The good news? UC Berkeley is hiring more full-time drivers. This will enable Cal to bring all three night shuttles back in service.
That means less students walking outside late at night, and less chances of them being the victim of crime.
