Help us find night shuttle drivers! 🚌

.

One of the easiest ways to keep Cal students safe is by providing them with reliable night transportation. UC Berkeley used to operate two night safety shuttles and a door-to-door shuttle. Then the pandemic hit. Staffing levels plummeted, and have never quite recovered.

That’s why only a single night shuttle runs today (April 2023) β€” the Southside Loop.

That’s the bad news.

The good news? UC Berkeley is hiring more full-time drivers. This will enable Cal to bring all three night shuttles back in service.

That means less students walking outside late at night, and less chances of them being the victim of crime.

How you can help

We want to help Cal’s Department of Parking and Transportation find qualified drivers. If you know someone who you think would be a good candidate, please share the link below & urge them to apply.

Some quick points you can shareβ€”

  • These are full-time, 40 hour per week roles

  • Pay is approximately $24/hour

  • Full UC benefits eligibility

  • Candidates must have a Class B drivers license

Grab the link contained in this button & share it with your anyone you think would be a good fit:

The sooner we get these positions filled, the sooner Cal students will have a safer nighttime experience around campus.

Fiat Lux!
